According to folks at AutoCarIndia, TVS Motors has announced its partnership with BMW to develop a sub-500 cc motorcycle. As per recent reports, the first bike from the TVS-BMW alliance will be a street fighter motorcycle, powered by a 300cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. Earlier, the first motorcycle from the alliance was considered to be a 500cc bike.

However, we reported that the company might launch a 250cc naked roadster or a full faired model first in mid-2014. Thus, our first assumption was wrong the bike is 300cc and expected to be ready by the end of 2015 or in 2016. Don’t expect the bike to be based on the lines of Draken Concept, which was showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo.
As per the company officials, the Draken was just a concept on which they would build the new Apache, which is expected to hit roads in 2015. The company is also working on a 220cc full-faired version of Apache which will be launched sometime this-year. Like the Pulsar 200SS, the TVS too is silent about it upcoming 220cc full-faired bike.
Coming back to the topic, the technology used by TVS-BMW street fighter will undoubtedly be unmachable with any other bike in the segement and it will be sold under the TVS moniker through TVS dealerships across India.
