The 2017 Hero Maestro Edge will soon make its debut in India, ahead of its official launch brochure of has been leaked on the Internet, thanks to IndianAutosBlog.
2017 Hero Maestro Edge gets Auto Headlamp On (AHO) and BSIV compliance engine.
Design-wise, the 2017 Maestro Edge will remain similar to the current model, however, it will be available in two new two-tone paint schemes – Sporty Matte Grey and Red, and Active Matte Grey and Blue, apart from the previously available seven paint schemes. The prices are expected to get a slight price bump.
Noteworthy features on the Maestro Edge includes digital-analogue instrument cluster, LED tail lamp, integrated braking system, mobile charging port with boot light, anti-theft system, tubeless tyres and external fuel filling. The company has also added Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) feature which is likely to be mandatory across all 2-wheelers in India from April-2017.
2017 Maestro Edge get a retuned engine and new features; produce 8.1hp and 8.7Nm torque.
There are changes under the skin as well, where one of the images reveals a retuned engine to meet BS-IV emission norms. The 110.9 cc, air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine will produce marginally less power and more torque than before (8.1hp compared to 8.43hp, and 8.7Nm compared to 8.3Nm). So, the engine now reaches to its peak torque at lower rpm and comes with better fuel efficiency.
