TVS Apache RTR 180 & RTR 160 updated for 2017 BS4 norms in India

Following the launch of Apache RTR 200 4V Carburetor variant to meet BS4 norms and AHO, TVS has now launched the updated versions of the Apache RTR 180 and Apache RTR 160.

Design-wise, the Apache twins remains identical to the outgoing-model, however gains a ‘BS4’ & ‘RTR’ sticker on the left-side of engine underbelly cowl, and a warning notice on the fuel tank which says ‘Do not fill fuel beyond rated capacity as in owner’s manual.’ The headlight gets AHO function and thus the headlight on/off switch has been removed from it.

The most affordable of all Apache’s the Apache RTR 160 BS4 is priced from Rs 75,089 (ex-showroom). This revised engine is capable of generating 15.2 BHP and 13.1 Nm torque. The RTR 160 will be available in White, Black, Grey, Red, Yellow and Matte Blue. The motorcycle is offered with an optional rear disc brake too.

The new BS4 engine on the Apache RTR 180 is good to deliver 17.03 BHP and 15.5 Nm torque. The bike is offered with optional ABS. Priced at Rs. 90,475 for the ABS variant, and Rs 80,019 for the non ABS variant. It is available in a total of 5 colours – White, Black, Matte Grey, Matte Blue and Matte Black.
