2014 Toyota Innova Facelift – FrontView
Toyota Kirloskar Motor is all-set to launch the facelifted Toyota Innova in coming weeks, in time for the festive season. But prices are already revealed by our good friends at MotorBeam, also the MPVs have already begun arriving at dealerships around the country. Just few days back, Toyota launched the facelifted Innova in the Indonesian market, and is now ready to launch the MPV in India as well.
Thanks to Mr. Samuel Joe of Fly-wheel.com, we have first set of images of the Toyota Innova facelift in the ‘Z’ trim from an unspecified dealer yard. This time the MPV has received minor changes both on the inside and outside. The front-fascia of the facelifted Innova gets a bigger chrome grille with three horizontal slats, newly formulated front bumper, new air dam with restyled fog lamps.
New body graphics on doors make the Z variant stand apart while at the rear, tail lamps and bumpers designs remain untouched, but gets a wing-shaped chrome feature running over the number plate enclosure, flanked by reflector strips. On the inside, the car receives improved fabrics, new infotainment system which also has a roof mounted screen and a beige color scheme for all other interior components.
2014 Toyota Innova Facelift – RearView
Surprisingly, in India-spec top-end ‘Z’ variant doesn’t get parking sensors at the front & rear like the Indonesian version. As far as engine updates are concerned, Toyota has decided to retain the old 2.5-litre D4D diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 102bhp and a 2.0-litre VVT petrol engine which produces a maximum power of 130bhp. The facelifted Innova will be available in a total of 10 variants (7 diesel and 3 petrol), including a new ‘Z’ variant which is only offered in diesel trim.
Ever since the initial launch of Innova MPV in 2005, this will be the third update. The first update came in 2009, while the current version was launched in 2011.
