Toyota Etios Cross – ExteriorView
Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. (TKM) today launched a crossover version of Etios, priced at Rs 5.76 lakh for the base petrol variant and upto Rs 7.40 lakh for the top-of-the line diesel variant (ex-showroom Delhi). Unveiled at the 12th Auto Expo in February, the Etios Cross will be the third member of the Etios family after Etios and Liva.
The Etios Cross combines the rugged looks of an SUV with the easy drive, fuel efficiency and maneuverability of a Hatch. The unique styling of the car makes a statement, appealing to the customers looking for a car with a distinct identity. Compact on the outside yet spacious inside, Etios Cross is best suited for urban usage, with its ease of parking and drivability.
The Etios Cross will get a choice of two petrol and one diesel engine. The base petrol variant G is powered by the 1.2-litre engine 79bhp and 104Nm and the top-end petrol model in V trim gets the 1.5-litre engine churning out 89bhp and 132Nm of torque. There are two diesel variants namely GD and VD, which will be powered by the 1.4-litre D-4D unit producing 67bhp and 170Nm of torque. A five-speed transmission will be common across the range and the car will be front-wheel driven.
Toyota Etios Cross – InteriorView
Toyota is offering the Etios Cross in eight colours – Inferno Orange, Ultramarine Blue, Classic Grey, Symphony Silver, Celestial Black, White, Vermilion Red and Harmony Beige. Having been already launched in Brazil, the Etios Cross has become a hot seller there and Toyota will be hoping to repeat the same trend here.
