Tata Safari Storme clocked 6000 bookings, launched in Tamil Nadu

Tata Safari Storme, in the new avatar is minting money for the car manufacturer and has already bagged over 6000 bookings. It may be noted that the manufacturer has already delivered 3,000 Storme SUVs in Delhi, Ludhiana, Punjab and Maharashtra and 6000 more bookings more means the order books at Tata dealerships are almost swelling.

The Safari Storme from Tata Motors has now been successfully launched in markets of Tamil Nadu and also in markets to the north and east of the country while it will be gradually introduced in southern and western Indian markets. It is believed that this unknown success will take Tata Motors further and it will bring some special honor to the car maker.

The Safari Storme was first shown at the 2012 Auto Expo and was launched in October-2012 at a starting price of Rs.9.95 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The range is available in four variants, LX, EX, VX (4×2 and 4×4), in seven vibrant colours – Urban Bronze, Sardinia Red, Pearl White, Pearl Champagne, Astern Black, Arctic White, Arctic Silver.

The Safari Storme is powered by a 2.2-litre VariCOR engine, turbocharged with VTT (Variable Turbine Technology) which delivers 140 PS Power & 320 NM Torque. It features ESOF (electronic shift-on-fly) technology, enabling engagement of the 4×4 or 4X2 mode, on the move. The fuel economy figures are 14kmpl in the 4×2 variant and 13.2kmpl in the 4×4 variant.

Tata Safari Storme comes with a warranty of 3 years or 100,000kms, whichever is earlier, extendable upto 4 years or 150,000 kms.
