The new Toyota Innova Crysta has been unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo. It is called Crysta to differentiate it from the last-generation Innova, which is likely to sell alongside the Innova in Indian car market.
The Innova Crysta is stretched compared to the current model by 150 mm in length, 70 mm in width and 35 mm in height, however, the wheelbase remains unchanged. It comes with an all-new developed frame, an all-new engine and for the first time an all-new 6 speed automatic transmission. The Innova Crysta combines aggressive styling, robust engine and a well-thought out feature set.
Just like the current version, the new Innova Crysta will also feature captain seats in the second row and a flat third row. Note-worthy features include projector headlights, alloy wheels, keyless entry and go, a touch-screen entertainment system, automatic climate control, a multi-function steering wheel, leather seats and optional captain chairs for the second row.
Talking about the engine, the Innova Crysta is expected to be available in 2 diesel engine options – a 2.0-litre petrol engine and 2.4-litre GD Series diesel engine. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine produces 139 PS and 183 Nm of torque, and can be had with 5-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2.4-litre diesel engine produces 149 PS and 242 Nm of torque with the 5-speed manual transmission or 360 Nm of torque with the 6-speed automatic transmission.
After 11 years of being India’s No.1 MPV, the Innova Crysta redefines all standards of luxury with its plush and elegant interiors that come with a living-room-like comfort as never before.
