Tata Nexon – Service training to begin from 2nd week of July

The Tata Nexon will go on-sale in India before the upcoming festive season by August-end, competing head-on with the Maruti Vitara Brezza & 2017 Ford EcoSport.

There is no doubt that Tata Motors is making its level-best to leave no stone unturned and make the Nexon a perfect compact SUV with much more than buyers expectations. The test-mule was today evening spotted down in south at Kasaragod in Kerala, looks like the prototype is being tested pan India, from Leh to Kanyakumari.

The recent reports on the web suggest that the Nexon will only be available in diesel engine option at initial stages with two gearbox options – a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT. As the absence of petrol-engined is not going to affect Nexon sales in India atleast for a short-term period, while the diesel-powered variant will be in high-demand like in the case of Maruti Vitara Brezza for compact SUVs.

Tata Nexon prototype was spotted road-testing at Kasaragod, Kerala.

At the Auto Expo 2016 and Geneva Motor Show 2017 presentations, Tata Motors only disclosed technical details about the 1.5-litre 4-cyl diesel mill producing 110 PS & 260 Nm, though the company had confirmed that the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine will be on offer, the engine specifications and output of this all-new motor were never disclosed.
