Tata Nexon Geneva Edition was showcased along with the Tigor Geneva Edition as well as the Racemo sportscar from sub-brand Tamo at the carmaker’s pavilion.
Unlike the Tigor Geneva edition, the Nexon Geneva edition features design cues that are similar to the production-ready concept that was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. However, it just gets a new dual-tone red and grey exterior paint scheme. The Nexon compact SUV is also based on Tata’s new IMPACT design language and comes with projector headlamps, DRLs and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the Nexon too gets some red detailing across the cabin of the car. Part of the dashboard, AC vent surrounds, door panels, and the steering wheel stitched get red inserts. Sport seats get Black and Red Fabric with Red Stitches. This looks quite interesting as well as sporty. There is a touchscreen infotainment system designed by HARMAN with voice command and various connectivity options.
The Nexon Geneva Edition on display is equipped with a 1.5-litre diesel engine with three drive modes, a 6-speed manual transmission and an electric power assisted steering. However, the power and torque figures haven’t been officially revealed yet. The fuel tank capacity is 44-litres and measures 3995mm in length, 1811.4mm in width and 1607.4mm in height respectively.
As far as safety is concerned, the Nexon comes equipped with front dual airbags, a rear-view camera, advanced dual path suspension, 9th generation ABS with EBD with Corner Stability Control, while the ISOFIX at the rear outboard seats ensures child safety.
