Just a week after global unveiling at Geneva Motor Show, Lamborghini has showcased the Gallardo-replacing Huracán at a private viewing event at Four Seasons Hotel in Worli, Mumbai. Nothing much about the event is known at the moment, but it was the first Indian public appearance, and only selected guests had the chance to see in metal the latest creation of Sant’Agata. This car will tour from Mumbai to Bangalore and then Delhi before being sent back to the factory in Italy.
Seen in the picture, the Gallardo-replacing supercar wears a Grigio Nimbus exterior paint scheme and rides on 20-inch Mimas forged alloy wheels with yellow brake calipers.
Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4The official launch of the Huracán is still some months away but the company is quite keen to gauge customer interest and take orders for its all-new sportscar which is far more rounded and less hard-edged than the Gallardo, the car the Huracán has replaced. Numerous such events are planned in cities across India before the Huracán will officially make into the showrooms.
For starters, Huracán is Lambo’s latest sportscar which is a replacement to Gallardo. Huracán gets power from a 5.2-litre V10 engine mated to a 7-speed dual clutch box. It will be capable of output of 610 hp at 8250 rpm and a peak torque of 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm, which is an increase of 58 hp and 20 Nm over the Gallardo LP 560-4. It is capable of acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 325+ kmph.
According to folks at Automobili Ardent – “Petrolhead Lifestyle”, the Lamborghini Huracán is priced at INR 3.50 crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi) plus taxes and will go on-sale in India by July-2014.
