After recently introducing the power steering feature to the Tata Nano, Now Tata is all-set to showcase its facelifted Aria at the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo in the month of February after which it would be launched in the Indian market later in April this-year. Tata has taken this initiative in order to obtain the required decent sales for its Aria which it is currently lagging.
The upcoming facelifted Aria would feature new lens for the tail lamps, smoked projector headlights, new dual-tone paint scheme (as already showcased in the Geneva Car show), two captain chairs for the second row seating, new improved material for seat fabrics and new set of alloy wheels. In addition to this, Tata will also add an option of 6-speed automatic transmissions which is expected to be sourced from General Motors.
Coming to the technical specifications, the facelifted Aria would be equipped with 2.2-litre diesel engine which produces a maximum power of 155 PS at a maximum torque of 400 Nm which in fact seems to be retuned from the currently equipped Aria producing a maximum power of 140 PS at a maximum torque of 320 Nm.
