The Suzuki GSX-R150 is surely a bike that turns heads due to good styling and sports bike stance with a superior engine. But at the 2017 Indonesian International Motor Show (IIMS 2017), the world got to see another variant of this popular 150cc motorcycle, albeit in the form of a Café Racer.
The GSX-R150 modified by Indonesian custom bike company ‘Insan Motor Bekasi’ was the major attraction at the event. The customization company claim that 60% of its original parts were replaced from the stock model. The GSX-R150 custom café racer is seen sporting a round projector unit with an LED DRL in the front and also a new fuel tank in the front.
The motorcycle sports petal disk brakes at both end and a real seat cowl with an attractive looking underbelly exhaust, which is a new addition at well to the bike. It is lit up by a theme of blue which reminds us of other sports bike from Suzuki. There is a new set of alloys, which looks shiny and ready for action.
Though the exterior has undergone a massive revamp, it’s engine specifications are the same as the one on its sibling. It is powered by the same 147.3 cc water cooled single cylinder engine with a fuel injection system. The engine gives 18.2 bhp at 10,000 rpm with torque of 13.8 nm at 8,500 rpm.
The Café Racer aims to create a niche of its own, breaking free from conventional but sharp sports bike designs, which are popular as well as stylish.
