Spied – Hyundai i20 facelift almost undisguised!

A couple of days before, we brought you images of the 2012 Hyundai i10 Fluidic doing the testing rounds in Chennai. While the spyshots showed a heavily camouflaged i20, it gave us a rough idea as to how the Fluidic version will look. Today, we bring to you yet another spyshot of the Hyundai i20 Fludic, this time a much clearer shot showing the front end of the car. The Hyundai i20 Fluidic features wraparound headlamps, which look little like the ones on the Verna Transform.

Hyundai i20 Facelift 2012

The i20 Fluidic’s fog lamp design is the clearest pointer to the fact that the car’s design is now inspired by the Fluidic design philosophy. So, expect plenty of changes on the front end with a hexagonal grille layout and new bumpers. On the interiors too, the Fluidic design philosophy can be expected with a new dashboard layout. The petrol and diesel engine options are expected to be retained though.

The Fluidic i20 can be expected to be launched in India later this year. The Fluidic design for the i20 comes at a time when the competition hotting-up as the new Swift has become an instant best seller and the Jazz is also making big inroads into the petrol hatchback segment. So, the sooner Hyundai launch the facelift, the better it will be for the brand and by the looks of it, it shouldn’t be too long before we see the new i20 in Hyundai India showrooms.
