The all new Hyundai small car will be priced below the Santro Xing model where it will be taking on India’s highest selling car Suzuki Maruti Alto.
Thanks to AutoCarIndia reader Roshan Vignesh who has spotted test mule near Chennai, the latest spy shots are the clearest spy shots of the Hyundai HA H800 small car to be released till date in India. Hyundai HA, this time as dropped some camouflage when compared to the cars spotted earlier.
The car is being built in Hyderabad on a modified Santro platform and will be sporting an 814cc three-cylinder version of the Epsilon engine developing around 48bhp (approx 15 bhp more than a Nano). Hyundai will carry over other bits and pieces from the Santro too.
Hyundai is aiming at stealing some of the Nano’s thunder with the inclusion of a Rs 2-3lakh car. At this price point, it will be able to compete with the top-end versions of the Nano and scaled down and slashed products from Maruti as well. Hyundai might also launch the car in LPG and CNG variant at a later stage.
The report also states that Hyundai engineers have designed the small car on their new Fluidic Design feature which will make the car even more efficient. Designed to accommodate 4 adults, Hyundai small car is one of the most awaited cars of the year.
