The facelifted Q5 is expected to come to India in January-2013. Recently our good friend at GoaOnWheels has managed to snap the Audi Q5 facelift doing the testing rounds in Mumbai. According to the same there were no badges on the test mule but it was certainly a diesel-powered crossover. The facelift is strictly a mid-career makeover, mainly with the looks of the crossover getting the once over.
The facelift version of Audi Q5 made its debut at the Paris Motor show earlier this-year. The changes to the styling are minimal which includes a hexagonal shape front grille, new LED daytime running lights and a different front bumper with new chrome fog-lamp shrouds. At the rear, the tail-lamps get different LEDs and there’s a new rear diffuser.
On the inside too, the facelifted Q5 gets little tweaks and improvements to uplift the general feel and finish of the cabin, like seen in the recently launched facelifted A4. Under the hood, the facelifted Q5 will continue with the same engine options, but could be tweaked for improved power and fuel-efficiency.
Audi India is currently offering a discount of upto Rs 2 lakh on the Q5 to make way for the facelift version. And the facelifted Q5 is expected to carry a little lower price tag as well considering that it would be assembled in India.
