The French car maker Renault launched the Fluence sedan last-year in India, while the Fluence has been around the international market for about three years now. But I tell you ever since the launch I personally did not like the rectangle front grille, besides this rest of the car looks good including the interior too. We wish the facelifted Fluence to get wider grille encompassing the brand’s logo as seen above.
Now the company has decided to give Fluence a cosmetic facelift and has already started its test rounds abroad in Romania. For the first time a prototype of the 2013 Renault Fluence has been seen, thanks to folks at CarScoop for the images. Looking at the on-test camouflaged Fluence one can say that the car has minimal changes and that the facelift is most likely to be a minor one.
From the images, we can see the facelifted Fluence features a completely different front-end design, including new bumper, headlamps, grille and fog-lamp design. At the back too, the car will get a restyled bumper and perhaps, an all-new taillight design. But the other changes which may be incorporated in the car are unknown.
2013 Renault Fluence may debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show in September with sales scheduled to begin in first quarter of 2013. Renault might even consider launching the new Fluence in India soon after its global launch. Meanwhile, Renault India has other plans which include the launch of re-badged and restyled C-segment sedan called the Scala which is based on Nissan Sunny.
What we say? I sincerely don’t like the front-fascia of the current Renault Fluence with rectangle grille, but rest of the design is good. We wish the facelifted Fluence to get wider grille encompassing the brand’s logo like that of Renault Zoe which made its debut at 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
