Czech auto manufacturers, Skoda Auto have released the first official photos of their all new Superb facelift, which is scheduled to be shown publicly at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show that will commence from 21 – 29 April, 2013. The brand’s top model impresses with fresh, attractive Škoda Design, including a new interior and new technology features.
The changes incorporated on the new model include completely new design for the front and rear. In the images here, you can clearly see the new bonnet, front wings, bumpers, fog lights, head lights, wider grille, and bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights, which is a first time in Superb line-up. Additionally, the Superb’s exterior is now available in two metallic finishes: metal grey and moon white. New 16- to 18-inch alloy wheels are also on offer.
On the inside, the new Superb facelift are also redesigned. Skoda Superb facelift will offer best in class interior and boot space. The car has now included a new four-spoke steering wheel, a revised gear lever, and one can electronically moved the front passenger seat from the rear. An automatic reverse parking system is also added, which helps the driver to park the vehicle in narrowest of parking areas.
Under the hood, the Superb facelift is expected to be launched with same engine choices – a 1.8-litre TSI petrol, a 2.0-litre TDI and a 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine. The petrol motor comes equipped with the option of a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission, while the other two engines likely to get a six-speed DSG only.
Although nothing official about the launch of Superb facelift in India! We expect the car to be launched in India later this year with 2013 Skoda Octavia or by early-2014.
