Skoda Superb facelift

Although Skoda Superb was expected to be launched at the 2013 Geneva Motor show, but later the company gave attention to the Skoda Octavia Combi. On the Superb facelift, the new black and chrome logo forms the starting point of the central ridge which extends upto the front windshield. The changes are also done to front fog lamps along with the front grills similar to other cars released by Skoda in 2013.

Other modifications done to the new Skoda Superb are new headlamps, bumpers, rear tail lamps and also a repositioned number plate which can be more noticed. The rendering is close to the real car since the image incorporates changes that were noticed in the front bumper image leak months ago.

The current Skoda Superb’s petrol version comes in two variants, one is a entry-level variant which is powered by 1.8-liter TSI engine with a maximum torque of  250 Nm at 160 bhp and the other being top-end  high performance variant which comes with powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine at 350 Nm. The diesel engine is powered with a 2.0-liter TDI engine with a maximum torque of 320 Nm at 140 bhp.

The upcoming Skoda Superb might offer 3 transmission options, such as 6-speed manual gearbox, a 6-speed dual clutch DSG automatic and a 7-speed DSG gearbox which are in corporated with start-stop system to provide better fuel economy.
