Ever wondered why the Skoda Rapid is being spotted oh so often? Well the company is testing the car in a hurry to ensure it is completely ready for production before September. Skoda has confirmed the display of the Rapid at the Frankfurt Motor Show and the launch would happen by the end of this year.
“This is a brand new car and not a replacement for the Octavia,” said Thomas Kuehl, board member, sales and marketing, Skoda Auto India. He further added, “India is also one of the first markets to get the car.
The Frankfurt Motor show will begin in the month of September with the production ready Rapid sedan will be displayed. The Rapid will do to the Honda City, what the Skoda Superb did to the Honda Accord. The sedan is based on Fabia like Polo and Vento, Liva and Etios, Maruti Swift and Swift Dzire and so on. The sedan was first caught inside the factory and also doing rounds outside the factory.
