Skoda Octavia RS245 deliveries have commenced as lockdown restrictions ease. Reported by Team-BHP, the first car delivered in India is said to be in Goa, and in Race Blue color.
Bookings for RS 245 (www.buyskodaonline.co.in) began at 12 noon on 1 March 2020 where 200 sedan units were allocated for sale at a pretty higher price tag of Rs. 36 lakh (ex showroom). All units were imported as fully engineered units (CBUs) and all 200 units were sold-out within 2 months in India.
The Skoda Octavia RS245 is powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre TSi turbocharged 4-cyl petrol engine producing 242 BHP @ 5,000-6,700 rpm (245ps; and hence, ‘RS 245’) and a torque of 370 Nm @ 1,600-4,300 rpm. The engine is coupled with a dual-clutch 7-speed DSG transmission sending power to front wheels. It sprints 0-100 KMPH in roughly 6.6 seconds and top speed is electronically limited to 250 KMPH.
The new Skoda Octavia RS245 comes with rectangular fog lamps, smoked headlamps and a gloss black finish for front radiator grille. The Octavia RS245 also provides boot spoiler, black diffuser and dual exhaust tips. It rides on 18-inch dual tone Vega alloy wheels and has sports suspension.
Now, if you wanted to book this ride, you might just get lucky as some people would cancel their orders.
