Rolls-Royce thinks that it feels its line-up is incomplete, and will be adding ‘one or two more’ models based on the Ghost to complete its model range. We assume two new possible variants coming out of the Rolls-Royce gates might be a coupe and a convertible versions of the Ghost.
The company CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said AutoCar that, we are not looking to “chase volume” is seeking to improve upon its sales record, broken last year with 3,538 units. The previous sales record for the ultra-luxury automaker was set in 1978 by the Silver Shadow II, but after a 31 percent hike in deliveries, supported by the Ghost, Rolls-Royce is setting its sights even higher.
China and the U.S. take up a big portion of the sales figures, and Muller-Otvos believes that the new models can put Rolls “closer to “4,000” in sales.
So what’s to come? Look out for a high-performance coupe based on the Ghost to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next March. It’s expected to be lower, shorter, boast a sport-tuned suspension and boosting around 600hp.
