Renault India introduced the all-new Renault Duster with 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine. The latest engine comes in three versions – RXE, RXS and RXZ and prices start at Rs. 10.49 lakh and ranges upto Rs. 12.99 lakh for the CVT edition (ex-showroom).
At the 2020 Auto Expo the Renault Duster 1.3L turbo petrol was exhibited. The Nissan Kicks comes with the same engine. The killer pricing of the Duster undercuts that of the Kicks. There are 7 colours on offer – blue, brown, orange, silver, grey, bronze and white.
The BS6-compliant 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine features dual variable valve timing (VVT) as well as direct injection, and develops 154 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 254 Nm @ 1,600 rpm. It is coupled with either a 6-speed manual or a continuously variable transmission (CVT) which has a manual mode of 7-speeds. Renault claims the 1.3L turbo engine will return 16.5 KMPL, while the CVT version will return 16.42 KMPL.
The Renault Duster 1.3L turbo petrol is based on the revised version of the SUV that gets a redesigned front facia. It comes with a new red accented grille, projector headlamps with daytime running LED lights, and LED tail lights. On the roof rails and tailgate it gets red DUSTER lettering, red accents on the fog lamp frames, red wheel centre caps. The SUV runs on alloy wheels joined by 17-inch diamonds.
The Renault Duster 1.3L turbo gasoline comes in black interiors. The SUV has features such as automatic climate control with remote pre-cooling function and a head-unit 7-inch touchscreen infotainment compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Renault Duster 1.3L has voice recognition and EcoGuide that tracks driving actions and provides guidance for enhancing performance. It comes with an automatic engine Start / Stop system. The SUV has 205 mm ground clearance and comes with a fuel tank of 50 litres.

Renault will continue to sell the Duster with a 1.5-liter, naturally aspirated petrol engine in addition to the current turbo-petrol engine. This engine produces 104 BHP @ 5,600 rpm and 142 Nm @ 4,000 rpm and is coupled with a manual five-speed transmission. Prices for the Duster 1.5 start at Rs. 8.59 lakh (ex-showroom).
