It’s another special from Porsche, and this one is called the Cayenne S Platinum edition. Previously offered only on the standard Cayenne, the Platinum Edition package is now available on the more powerful S models.
The Porsche Cayenne S Platinum Edition has no mechanical changes.
The company is now offering the Cayenne S petrol priced at Rs 1.27 crore, and Cayenne S Diesel priced at Rs 1.31 crore with the Platinum Edition package (all prices ex-showroom, Maharashtra).
Unique to the edition are blacked-out trim bits on the exterior in place of the standard car’s chrome bits. The cladding on the wheel arches are now finished in body colour instead of black, and the wheels have been upsized from 18-inch units to 21-inchers with a satin finish.
The limited edition Cayenne S gets styling tweaks and extra equipment.
Inside, the Cayenne S Platinum Edition comes with Porsche Communication Management infotainment system with navigation and a Bose surround sound system. The sports seats are draped in leather from the Cayenne GTS, while the door sill guards come with Platinum Edition badges. The front seats offer a heating option and 8-way adjustment.
No mechanical changes over the standard Cayenne S. It gets two engine options – the 420hp 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine and the 385hp 4.2-litre twin-turbo V8 diesel engine. Both engines come paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic S gearbox as standard.
