Ford India has just confirmed officially the launch of the 2011 Ford Fiesta to be on the 14th of July, 2011.
The new Fiesta will come with a 1.5L Ti-VCT petrol and Duratorq TDCi diesel engines, which achieves fuel economy figures of 17 kmpl and 23.5 kmpl for the petrol and diesel engines, according to the figures from ARAI. Ford has sold more than 1 million units of this generation of Fiesta cars across the world.
The new Fiesta has some good features which no other cars in its segment have, such as Cruise Control. The voice activated controls too are a rare feature, with the Linea being the only other car in the segment to have a similar system. Ford India might launch the car at a price which is slightly lower than the Verna and the Vento. Ford India has not officially revealed the price of the new fiesta, we hope with the Figo’s success now the company know how a right price tag can do wonders to the sales of a good product.
