Nissan has introduced a variety of cars in India may it be the hatchback, sedan or SUV there is a Nissan to cater each segment. But with all this wide range Nissan is really not that successful at the company might have planned.
In order to further boost their share and gain more market share, Nissan has planned to launch seven new products in the coming years. Three of the seven models will be on Datsun platform which will not just limited to hatchback and sedan but will also have a SUV in the sub 4-meter segment for which Nissan has already started a lot of localisation. The Nissan Qashqai crossover will also be launched and will replace the X-trail.
The Qashqai is not only stylish by design but also a 7-seater SUV which can attract a lot of Indian buyers. There will also be a SUV which will be Nissan’s version of Duster which will be the first Renault product to wear a Nissan badge. Nissan will also include next-generation Teana/Altima sedan which was launched in China earlier this year. The next to join the line-up of the Nissan India could be the GT-R or the Juke-R.
With all these new cars and SUV’s Nissan will certainly have a wide range of options for its buyers and this may yield Nissan what it has been expecting from the Indian automobile market.
