TVS Motor Company is all-set to launch the next generation Apache RTR 160 in India. Launch is scheduled for March 14, 2018, which is a couple of days ahead. The bike has been spotted numerous times while under going testing, and TVS has recently teased an video of it.
Looking at the image in a video, the design looks similar to the Apache RTR 200 4V on-sale here. TVS will significantly update the bike and provide some new features on it. Engine updates are also likely to take place, which may be a welcome addition on the bike.
Changes include a digital Instrument Cluster, mono-shock Suspension and LED tail lamps. ABS is expected to come as standard in the Apache RTR 160, with rear disc brake to be offered as an option. Design of the next generation Apache RTR 160 will be sporty and appealing.
Prices are expected to start around Rs. 80,000, which will be intact with the competition. Rivals include the Suzuki Gixxer, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Honda CB Hornet and the Yamaha FZ-S. Expect it to take the market by storm, given the immense popularity of 160cc motorcycles in India.
