Ford are planning a slew of new launches for the Indian market. The American automaker has seen a recent rise in sales numbers and will follow it up with a mid-size sedan, mid-size SUV and a hatchback soon. But before that, Ford will be launching a facelifted version of their popular premium SUV, the Endeavour here.
The Endeavour will be the latest product in Ford’s India line-up to get a mid-cycle facelift. Launch is scheduled to take place in early 2019. The facelifted Endeavour was recently clicked undergoing testing at unknown location in India.
We can see the facelifted Endeavour having a revised front grille with 3 chrome slats, housing on the fog lamps and more powerful headlamps. It will be featuring Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system and will have 20-inch alloy wheels and a start/stop button as standard. Other than these, the vehicle is largely expected to remain the same as the current model.
Engine-wise, the facelifted Endeavour will use the same set of engines seen on the current model. That is, a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder, diesel engine and a 3.2-litre, five-cylinder, diesel engine. Both these engines will come mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
However, these engines will apply to the BS-VI emission norms which will kick-off in April 2020. When launched, the Endeavour facelift will have its rivals in the form of the Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X, Mitsubishi Outlander and the upcoming Mahindra Alturas G4. We can expect prices to start from Rs. 28 lakh and go all the way to the Rs. 32 lakh mark.
