While there are dozens of rendering pictures of the upcoming next-gen Honda Jazz on the Internet, the above picture seen here is the actual model how the new 2015 Jazz or the Fit will most likely look like. These rendered pictures of the next-gen Jazz have allegedly leaked into a magazine which is believed to have come straight from Honda’s press desk.
From the images leaked by AutoWeek, the design of the exterior looks completely new from all angles. The major revamp is on the rear, that looks much more aggressive. There is revised bumper design in front and rear, and also the headlights. And, the new grille perfectly fits into the front design.
Although no spy pictures of interiors are revealed here, the leaked picture of the instrument console reveals that just like current-gen variant, next -en too will be offered in electric hybrid option in developed markets of US and Europe. In India, the next-gen Jazz will be offered in 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options.
The unconfirmed sources on the web report that, Honda engineers have designed a 3-cylinder petrol engine that can take the redesigned Jazz 35.4 kilometers for one liter of fuel. The availability of this engine maybe restricted to certain parts of the world. Nothing much is known about this new engine.
In India, the current-gen Jazz has been discontinued in our market, although there was a demand for the car. The reason, selling the car in India was not profitable for the Honda India, due to less localization, and declining value of Indian Rupee. Once the next-gen is revealed officially, expect it come to India soon with higher localization and a diesel engine (probably, 1.5-litre Earth Dreams like seen in Amaze).
