Spyshots of the 2017 Chevrolet Beat just keep coming. This latest one by Motorworld India shows the clearest view of the rear of the second-gen Beat – based on the same platform as the current car.
2017 Chevrolet Beat is expected to launch early next-year
From here, the shape of the rear-end is clearly apparent, interesting point on the test mule is the new tail-lamp design, re-positioned registration plate area and a handle for tailgate release. Another spy pictures reveal its front-fascia, and matches the one shown at the biennial event earlier this-year.
The 2017 Chevrolet Beat is expected to carry a new petrol engine with the 1.0-litre 3 cyl petrol engine (a 3 cyl version of the 1.4-litre 4 cyl Ecotech offered on the global Spark), whereas the Beat diesel will continue to use 1.0-litre 3 cyl TCDi diesel engine. Both engines will come coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. Option of AMT could also be available.
The sedan and crossover would share its engine lineup with the new Beat hatchback
Alongside the 2017 Beat hatchback, the second-gen Beat will spawn a crossover dubbed as ‘Chevrolet Beat Activ’ and compact sedan called ‘Chevrolet Essentia’.
