New 2019 Bajaj Avenger 220 ABS gets a single-channel ABS unit similar to the RS200, the prices are likely to increase by INR 12,000.

It will basically be a newer and better iteration of the 220cc cruiser sold here. Apart from minimal changes, the new Avenger 220 will remain the same. However, one significant change will be the addition of ABS.

It will be available in both disc and drum brake options. The Avenger will continue to be sold in Street and Cruise variants. This means that the Avenger will continue to retain its popular retro styling.

Note the ABS ring on the rear drum brake with an RLP (Rear-Lift Protection) sensor on the spyshots.

It will soldier on with the 220cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine is capable of producing 19.03 bhp of power and 17.5 Nm of torque. It will come mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

When launched, the new Avenger 220 will rival the likes of the Suzuki Intruder, Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the UM twins. At present, the Avenger has a price tag touching the Rs.1 lakh mark. With the new model arriving in January, we can expect the motorcycle to command a slight premium over the existing model.
