McLaren Automotive will use its first ever international motor show appearance to preview its next generation ultimate supercar – the McLaren P1 – which is the successor of the McLaren F1. The McLaren P1 has one simple goal: to be the best driver’s car in the world on road and track.

The McLaren P1 will make its world prototype debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show next week. The company said that it would present the final design next year and will into production by end-2013. McLaren intends to make the P1 one of the most advanced supercar ever. The rumors on the web suggest, the McLaren P1 will be powered by a twin-turbo V8 making north of 800-hp.

McLaren Automotive, Managing Director, Antony Sheriff said –

“Our aim is not necessarily to be the fastest in absolute top speed but to be the quickest and most rewarding series production road car on a circuit. It is the true test of a supercar’s all round ability and a much more important technical statement. It will be the most exciting, most capable, most technologically advanced and most dynamically accomplished supercar ever made.”
