Last-week, we brought you the firstever spy pictures of facelifted SX4 sedan caught testing in India.
From the spyshots, it appears that the facelifted SX4 sedan that will be launched in India is quite similar to its Chinese counterpart, with minor changes seen in vehicle exterior. However, nothing from the company has been disclosed yet on the new SX4, the car has been doing test runs in India for quite sometime now, so we can expect the vehicle to come very soon.
The SX4 is a sturdy and spacious sedan, with an attractive pricing, but failed to make its mark in India. It is hoped that the facelift model will be more popular specially since it will come in with a host of chrome accents, a new front bumper, head and tail lights, though engine options will be the same as that seen in the current model.
With a 1.3-litre Fiat multijet diesel engine offering 90 bhp and 200 Nm while petrol and CNG options include a 1.6-litre. All these models with any of these fuel engines get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard while the petrol engine variant also comes with an option of a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
At present the SX4 sedan is the only vehicle in C-Segment to be available in fuel options of petrol, diesel and CNG, though surprisingly it has failed to attract its fair share of attention in Indian markets. Other good bits include its ground clearance and number of safety features are also added attractions. Furthermore, supported by Maruti Suzuki’s wide after sales network, the SX4 sedan is a best buy in the C-Segment sedan category.
