Maruti Suzuki Ritz has been a popular car ever since it has been launched three years ago. At present, Ritz is the cheapest diesel hatchback among Maruti cars and is soon to undergo a makeover in India. Meanwhile, Suzuki Splash (Maruti Ritz for Indian readers) facelift version has been already launched in Europe.
The European version of Maruti Ritz owns a revamped front fascia having the all new fog lamps and the new Swift-Dzire-look-alike front bumper. Not just exterior but there are minor changes in interiors as well. Maruti Suzuki Ritz facelift version is expected to come along with some new features in India, which we have seen in the all new Swift.
The major change under the skin that we will get to see in the facelift is, the petrol engine is expected to be replaced by the K12 M 1.2 L VVT engine. And as the time demands more fuel efficient cars, we can see a little alteration in the 1.3 DDiS oil burner as well to make it better in terms of fuel efficiency.
The other major changes that the Indian version will feature are Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), steering mounted audio controls, front dual airbags, 13’inch alloy wheels and above all air conditioning with climate control feature. Expect the Indian version of the facelifted Ritz to be launched in the coming months and will be priced between Rs. 4.5 to 6.5 Lakhs. (See the video & more pictures of the same, below the jump)
