The Mahindra XUV 500 was launched in both the two-wheel drive and the four-wheel drive variants – W6 4×2 , W8 4×2 and W8 4×4.

Undoubtedly Mahindra XUV 500 apparently scores high on many points like, it offers a spacious interiors accommodating seven passengers similar to any other premier SUV. The Mahindra SUV comes loaded with many features like cruise control, touch screen enabled music system with steering mounted audio controls, power-folding rear view mirrors, glove box and puddle lamps.

The XUV500 is a well proportioned vehicle which looks athletic and sharp from plenty of angles and in plenty of places. Mahindra & Mahindra insists that the new SUV’s design has taken inspiration from cheetah, known to be the fastest animal on land. The jaw-like front grille, the paw-styled handles, the pouncing cheetah body line and the haunches inspired by those of a cheetah are some of the most prominent cues taken from the body of the magnificent beast.

The 6000 bookings for the SUV do not come as a surprise with the competitive pricing. However, the Indian auto major has to take serious steps to bring down the waiting period for the SUV. With the kind of response, the wait period for the SUV is expected to reach 3 months. The production capacity of Mahindra’s Chakan plant stands to be 2000 units, which the company intends to increase based on the demand. One can only hope the best for Mahindra, which has launched its best product from its stable till-date. Imagine all the 6000 bookings converting into sales; then there are no bounds for the impending success.
