From these pictures, you can see both models not sporting any kind of camouflage. This is because there will be minimal or no changes in both models. Although, the Alturas G4 comes with a new set of alloy wheels and a revised front grille.

It will be powered by a BS-VI compliant 2.2 litre diesel. This motor, sourced from SsangYong, makes 178 BHP of power and 420 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.

The interior of the Alturas G4 is more or less expected to be the same compared to the outgoing model. The XUV300 will also follow the same interior pattern, with no changes expected. On the exterior as well, we may not see any changes on the compact SUV.

However, the XUV300 will feature an upgraded version of its current crop of engines. These include a 1.5 litre diesel and a 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol. Both engines will adhere to the BS-VI emission norms, coming into effect from April 2020 onwards.

The petrol motor on the XUV300 makes 110 BHP of power and 200 Nm of torque. On the other hand, it’s diesel equivalent delivers 115 BHP of power and 300 Nm of torque. Both come mated either to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT transmission.

As per sources, Mahindra may introduce them to the market in January 2020. Both will likely be carrying a small premium over their current prices due to the upgrade. More updates regarding it are expected to roll out soon.
