This all-new platform is expected to underpin more models in future.
A 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine co-developed with Ssangyong is believed to be the main engine choice, while a mHawk 80 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel engine debuted on the Mahindra TUV300 will also be on offer. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT), both sending power to the front wheels. The company is also rumored to be developing a new 1.2-liter diesel engine, but details of it are scarce at the moment.
What do you think – how will the Mahindra S101 stack up against its rivals?
