India’s largest SUV maker, Mahindra & Mahindra is recalling 2,300 units of the Scorpio, XUV500 and Xylo to rectify a defective vacuum pump in their engines and they are likely to have been manufactured in the month of May-2014.
The recall is applicable to Scorpio VLX, SLE and LX variants, XUV500 W4, W6, W8 and Xylo H9, H8 and H4 variants. And the affected owners are being contacted individually by their respected dealerships, and the part will be replaced if found faulty, free of cost of course to the customers.
The company has stated that the exercise is in keeping with SIAM’s voluntary code on vehicle recall.
