To celebrate the first anniversary of KUV100, Mahindra has updated the KUV100 for 2017 model year in India priced at Rs. 6.37 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) which is Rs 13,000 more than the current model.
However, we know the recently launched Maruti Ignis has become a nightmare to the KUV100 for the coming months, thus, in order to counter the Ignis effect, Mahindra has geared-up to launch an updated variant of the KUV100. Launched in January 2016, the KUV100 has made its presence felt in a very short time, having sold more than 42,000 units since launch.
First-and-Foremost, the company has tweaked the ECU as well as the throttle map of the 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 petrol engine to improve the cars fuel-efficiency. Now also the Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) levels are said to be improved by tweaking the engine mounts. Although 60 percent of KUV100 sales are petrol-driven, the customers had complained of the petrol KUV100’s segment-low fuel efficiency, and further drop in mileage with the air-conditioning on. Now this issue is resolved!
Talking about the first anniversary of KUV100, the K8 variant gains a dual tone colour theme – Flamboyant Red or Dazzling Silver body colour with a Metallic Black roof & blacked out ORVMs, and larger 15-inch alloy wheels. The interiors get a new sporty black and premium theme. In addition to this the K6 & K6+ variant will now be available with spider design 14” alloy wheels.
In addition to the above updates, the customers can personalize their KUV100 with 4 accessory kits – sporty exterior, sporty interior, premium exterior and premium interior kits. Each kit comes with a set of accessories that can be used to customise the car’s exteriors as well as interiors.
