First displayed at 2016 Auto Expo earlier this-year, Mahindra & Mahindra has now officially launched an Xplorer Edition kit for the KUV100 via a tweet. The kit costs Rs 50,000 extra over the price of the Mahindra KUV100, which ranges between Rs 5.01-7.81 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The updates are purely cosmetic with the KUV100 Xplorer Edition getting the new bonnet with silver accented fake vents, a heavily revised front bumper, faux cladding along the wheel arches and side skirts, new stylised roof rails, a tail light protector and LED brake lights. The interior only gets black leather seat covers with a contrasting orange piping.
Mechanically, the car remains unchanged. It is on-sale with a 1.2-litre, 3 cyl mFalcon petrol engine generating 82 BHP and 115 Nm of torque, and a 1.2-litre, 3 cyl mFalcon diesel engine producing 77 BHP and 190 Nm of torque. Both the engine comes paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, petrol claims 18.15 KMPL, while diesel claims 25.32 KMPL.
