Mahindra Two-Wheelers, a part of the Mahindra Group, recently announced its foray into the Latin American market with its two wheeler portfolio comprising of the Duro DZ, Pantero and Centuro motorcycles. The products were unveiled in Nicaragua on August 20, 2013 and Guatemala City on August 23, 2013, in the presence of eminent dignitaries, dealers, bankers and business associates and media houses. Mahindra Two wheelers’ product portfolio incorporates the Mahindra brand DNA of performance, features and reliability.

Mahindra Centuro
Mahindra Two Wheelers is putting in place all essential infrastructure comprising of its sales, service and spares set up and SKD assembly facilities in Guatemala City and Managua, besides a network of dealers in both countries.
Mahindra Two Wheelers has also started operations in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh recently. It is rapidly expanding its sales and service network across these countries. It has also set up assembly units in both these markets.

Mahindra Duro DZ
The Mahindra Centuro sports a host of patented category innovations which address practical consumer needs that have never been seen before in motorcycles. It is powered by Mahindra’s indigenously developed intelligent MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited-5 curve) engine that responds smartly to the need for power and fuel economy, delivering a power output of 8.5 BHP @ 7500 RPM, 8.5 Nm of peak torque @ 5500 rpm.

The Mahindra Centuro also offers an advanced Digital Dashboard with a Distance–to-Empty (DTE) indicator, Service Reminder and Economy Mode indicator. It also offers a Maintenance Free Battery that would ensure peace of mind for the owner.
The Mahindra Pantero was designed for the urban jungle. Underneath its sturdy frame is the indigenously developed MCi-5 engine. It is the most manoeuvrable bike in its class, capable of handling bad roads and traffic with ease. Targeted at young, first time buyers who want a great riding experience, the Pantero’s MCi-5 engine induces intelligence into the motorcycle and adjusts itself to your need for great pick-up or good mileage on the go. It also features a large, fully digital dashboard – a first in this segment – and comes equipped with a speedometer, fuel gauge, tachometer and clock. It also has an inbuilt capability to indicate the distance travelled in one trip. A wide wheel base ensures stability, while the longest seat in its class ensures comfort.
The Mahindra Duro DZ is a tough, powerful, fuel efficient 125 cc scooter designed specifically for challenging Indian roads. It offers a unique combination of superior power, advanced telescopic suspension, the technologically advanced Z Series engine and a variety of other important durability and safety related features.
