Range Rover India website has been updated for the Range Rover Evoque SUV ahead of its official launch in India. Now, this very car is coming to India and was also caught testing sometime back in Pune. The Official website of the Range Rover Evoque (here) gives details of the design, engine and technological aspects of the Evoque.
Range Rover Evoque will be launched in two engine options in India, an MPFI Petrol engine and a CRDI Diesel Engine. The Petrol engine will be a 2.0 litre lightweight aluminum engine producing 240 PS of power and 340 Nm of torque with turbocharger and VVTI technology. It will feature a 6 speed automatic transmission for comfortable and fuel efficient driving.
The Diesel engine will be a 2.2 Litre turbocharged engine which will produce 190 PS power and 420 Nm of torque with high torque, responsiveness and refined engine.
Evoque comes with Terrain Response, which adapts Range Rover Evoque’s engine, transmission and electronic systems to maximize drivability, comfort and traction. There are four Terrain Response settings: General Driving, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud & Ruts and Sand.
Both Diesel and Petrol engine Evoque will be available in 3 trim levels, Pure, Prestige and Dynamic. It will come loaded with loads of modern technology and features. Initially the car is going to be imported via the CBU route which localization plans are from 2013. The car is going to be priced starting from `. 50 lakhs and going all the way to `. 65 lakhs. The Indian JLR dealers have already started bookings for this vehicle, so if you have the money, book it soon before it gets sold out yet again!
