The KTM no-show at the Auto Expo was a big disappointment for us all. For everyone who was waiting to get up close and personal with the much awaited KTM Duke 200, there was disappointment.
But now we have some good news for motorcycle nuts out there. Bajaj has declared they will launch the KTM Duke 200 on the 24th of January in New Delhi. The bike launch will be complete with pricing announcements and everything!
Amit Nandi, business head (KTM) for Bajaj Auto stated, “These are youthful and edgy bikes. It’s meant for people who are young at heart and will flaunt KTM’s signature colour – orange. The bikes are lightweight and fast, which will appeal to the target customers.”
Here in India, KTM will be backed by the sales and service might of the home-grown giant, Bajaj. To make way for the all-new Duke, a few Probiking outlets have already been converted to KTM showrooms. Apart from this, we also saw Mr.Rajiv Bajaj in KTM branded clothing at the unveiling ceremony of RE 60 four-wheeler. As if all this was not enough to give us a hint about the fast approaching launch, Bajaj Auto has also included KTM link and KTM page on its website.
KTM Duke 200 will be manufactured at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan manufacturing unit but will not have any Bajaj branding on it, i.e., you won’t find any Bajaj logo on the KTM Duke 200 in India.
