Japanese bike-maker Kawasaki has announced its plans to bring the internationally sold Vulcan s Cruiser to India. Recently, the bike has been teased by the company themselves just before its official launch next-year. Experts say that the Cruiser could be the next big think in the Indian market, and we have given a detailed discussion about the bike.
Design of the Vulcan S is a classy Cruiser like stance having a low seating position. The Vulcan S features round headlamp, wide handlebars and muscular fuel tank. Kawasaki has also given the bike performance features like a 180 degree Balancer shaft which helps to minimise vibration.
The Vulcan S employees a liquid-cooled, twin-engine 649cc engine seen on bikes like the Ninja 650, Versys 650 and Z650 from Kawasaki. Since all Kawasaki bikes are locally manufactured in India, expect the Vulcan S to also get that loyalty. Coming back to the engine, it gives a healthy 61 BHP of power and 63 Nm of torque mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
The Vulcan S is expected to be priced around Rs. 5-6 lakhs. It will rival the Harley Davidson Street 750 in the entry-level Cruiser motorcycle category. This could be the ideal bike for Kawasaki to revitalize its India operations.
