Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has officially announced the availability of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Cherokee SRT in India. For now, both these models will be brought to India via CBU (Completely Built Up) route.
The flagship product of the Jeep brand, the Grand Cherokee is offered in 3 trims in India: Limited, Summit, and the SRT. The first two trims are powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine producing 240 BHP and 570 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox delivers a fuel-efficiency of 12.8 KMPL. The third trim, the SRT comes with a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 petrol engine that churns out 470 BHP and 624 Nm, while being mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Limited and Summit comes equipped with an active 4WD system supplemented by Selec-Terrain, while the Grand Cherokee Summit gets a limited slip differential. While, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT features include Launch Control, Brembo disc brakes and Selec Track (adjusts the suspension, torque distribution, shift schedule, stability control and engine mapping).
At the moment, Jeep India has commenced operation only at its Ahmedabad outlet, but plans to open 10 dealerships in 9 Indian cities by the end of this year in New Delhi (2 outlets), Chennai, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Kochi, Bangalore, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.

- Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited: Rs. 93.64 lakh
- Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit: Rs. 1.03 crore
- Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT: Rs. 1.12 crore
