India-bound Jeep Compass Limited Plus spied, launch in October

Jeep India have enjoyed tremendous success from their mid-size SUV, the Compass. Now, the American marquee is looking to capitalise on it by bringing a new variant of the model. Christened the ‘Compass Limited Plus’, it will arrive here during the month of October.

The Compass Limited Plus was spotted just recently on Indian roads. From this image, we can see the car in its production form and expect it to be launched soon. At present, Jeep offers as many as 10 variants of the Compass in India.

Upcoming top-spec Jeep Compass Limited Plus gets a panoramic sunroof and more features.

On adding another feature-packed variant, the Compass will see its appeal being more enhanced. In the image, the most notable change one can see is an attractive panoramic sunroof, which will surely entice buyers. Other features include an 8.4 inch touchscreen infotainment system, 18-inch alloy wheels, rain sensing wipers, 6 airbags and so on.

The Compass Limited Plus will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. Coming to the petrol engine, it will be a 1.4-litre turbo motor making 161 BHP of power. On the other hand, there is a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which produces 171 BHP of power.

The petrol version will come mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the diesel one will be available with a 6-speed manual only. Coming to its price, the Compass Limited Plus is expected to be priced at around Rs. 23 lakh. There are more variants of the Compass to be launched on the horizon, the most notable ones being the Compass Black Pack edition and the Compass TrailHawk edition, both of which are scheduled to be launched next-year.
