Video – Jay Kay’s Green LaFerrari is the coolest, but why green?

The popular musician and car collector Jay Kay has now added a green, to be precise Kermit Green, LaFerrari to his collection. It is a unique color not just because all LaFerrari cars are red but also because this color is not available in the standard color catalogue of the internationally famous Italian auto manufacturing giant. Jay Kay purchased this stunning sports car from Jamiroquai. And there is no doubt that it is indeed the coolest LaFerrari of them all.

The musician and petrol head also owns a black Ferrari Enzo and for some time we thought that he will be adding a black LaFerrari to his collection. But he chose a unique color and is definitely very delighted by it. He attended the Goodwood Festival of Speed with his LaFerrari in hand, and spoke about why he chose the color. Commenting on the same, he said “I think it gives the car a personality, a uniqueness, and it deserves it.” So there you have it. Love or hate it all you want. At least its owner, who happens to be a real car guy, is happy with his choice.

Successor to the Italian auto maker’s Ferrari Enzo, the LaFerrari was designed by Flavio Manzoni. It is a two door Berlinetta sports car. The LaFerrari features rear mid-engine and offers rear-wheel drive. This gorgeous sports car has a length of 4702 mm, width of 1992 mm, height of 1116 mm and a wheelbase of 2650 mm. The car weighs about 1255 kg. The auto manufacturing giant has powered LaFerrari with a 6.3 L V12 KERS and electric motor powertrain that is powerful enough to deliver a power output of 963 PS and a peak torque of 900 Nm.

This engine has been coupled with 7-speed dual clutch automated manual transmission. LaFerrari promises a top speed of over 217 miles per hour. The car has the capability to accelerate from zero to 62 miles per hour in less than 3 seconds! This mesmerizing sports car has beautiful design and styling that will make your jaw drop.
