Indian Government to gift over 630 Mahindra vehicles to Nepal

The homegrown-car manufacturer, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has been awarded a prestigious order by the Government of India (GOI) for a fleet of over 630 vehicles. These would be purchased by the GOI for gifting to the Government of Nepal as a support for the upcoming Constitutional Assembly elections and will be delivered to the Election Commission in Nepal and the Home Ministry. The elections are planned to be held in Nepal on November 19, 2013.

This fleet of vehicles is a symbol of support from the Indian Government to strengthen security during the election period. These Mahindra vehicles would be utilized by the Security Forces, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and as part of the convoy.
