The company will launch this model sometime in 2019, with its global unveil taking place later this-year. It was featured in Hyundai’s stable at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Kona will be placed in between the Creta and the Tucson in Hyundai’s line-up.

Worldwide unveil of the Hyundai Kona EV is scheduled for February 27, 2018.

The Kona EV is sold in petrol and diesel variants worldwide. Nothing yet has come about its engines. On the Contrary, Hyundai will likely fit in an internal Combustion engine, based on the Elantra’s platform.

The Kona will be a more premium offering compared to the Creta. It will be pricier than the Creta after the launch. Hyundai will look to make a mark in the EV segment with the Kona EV, scheduled for launch next-year.
