Hyundai Accent gets one more facelift before new model

The tea-reader Siddharth Shankar of IAB clicked this pics of 2011 Hyundai Accent. There’s nothing to talk about except for the i10 inspired radiator grille and chrome strip running across the doors on the Hyundai Accent facelift.

Though much of the car is left untouched, the facelift feels like a tacky after-market job. The Accent’s sale, despite being offered with a petrol engine, is commendable for a 10+ year old model. Interiors and technical specifications stay the same.

So, no surprises there. Now, what we’re wondering about is why Hyundai still continues to sell the Accent with the ancient 1.5 Liter SOHC petrol engine, while they can very well plonk in the i20′s detuned 1.4 Liter CRDI diesel engine and still manage to wring some more life out of the old war horse. Like the Ford Ikon TDCI, the Hyundai Accent Diesel’s volumes may perhaps double for another year or two.
