Hyundai Motor India Limited has updated the feature list of the 4 models, namely – Hyundai Eon, Xcent, Elite i20 and i20 Active. According to sources, the Hyundai Verna too is likely to get a feature update with the addition of the 7-inch audio-visual-navigation(AVN) touchscreen system.
Hyundai Eon
Since the Santro was discontinued from the Indian market, the Eon has been Hyundai’s entry-level car. This entry-level car market buyers are very price conscious, even the small price makes a big difference from the customer’s perspective. Thus, the company has deleted some features from the Hyundai Eon, whilst the prices remained the same.
The D-Lite+ variant now gets black bumpers instead of body-coloured ones. Further, the chrome grille has been replaced with a body-coloured unit. And sadly, the Era+ variant now comes without a central locking system. The feature list on other trims remains the same.
Hyundai Xcent
Unlike the Eon, the Xcent gets more equipment as standard in lower trim levels. It gets ABS as standard across all variant, including the Base and S. The S(O) variant now gets the reverse parking camera that’s integrated to the display in the rear view mirror along with dual airbags up-front.
Higher-up the range, the SX variant is reportedly discontinued, whereas no features updates have been reported for the top-end SX(O) variant.
Hyundai Elite i20
The company deleted some minor features from the Hyundai Elite i20 recently, this was to accommodate a 7” touchscreen audio visual navigation system without altering its competitive price.
So far the Asta was the top-end variant on the Elite i20 on both petrol and diesel options. Now with the addition of Asta(O) variant, this becomes the new top-end variant on the Elite i20 model. This variant gets all the features of the Asta variant, additionally gets a new 7-inch touch-screen based audio-visual-navigation display with reverse camera display.
Hyundai i20 Active
Although the diesel was offered in 3 variants – Base, S and SX, the petrol was only available in the Base and S variants. Now petrol gets the i20 Active’s top-end ‘SX’ variant. It comes equipped with a dual front airbags, automatic climate control, steering adjustment, Start/stop button and rear wiper borrowed from Hyundai Active SX diesel.
Additionally both the petrol and diesel SX variant gets the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a slight price hike. The reverse parking camera is integrated to a 7-inch screen now, and the previous reverse parking camera’s display in the rear view mirror will be removed.
